Background

There is much more to say about Judah. The following are several key points that should be full articles.

• Judah's Nemisis Throughout the Genesis account of Jacob's sons there is a tension between Judah and Joseph. Judah was extremely envious of Joseph and his position. In this Judah was something of Joseph's nemisis. The same relationship exists today between the eastern and western worlds.

• National Pride Though this shows up in all nations, the patriarch Judah has a long story on his pride. He also wants to burn the prostitute, a symbol given above.

• Mikhail is a name identified with Judah in Daniel's day and shows up as the name of the founder of the House of Romanov. It was also the name of the last leader, so far, of the Russian empire known as the Soviet Union.

• Split Religious Kingdom The split of the Orthodox and Catholic Churches in the 300s followed some specific promises and represented the spiritual equivalent of Rehoboam's civil war.

• 14 Generations to the Christ a prophetic reference Matthew Chapter 1 to the Christianization of Russia about the year 1000.

• Returnee List links the development of the Church at Rome in early 300s to Christianization of Russia about 1000 and then the return of the Jews to modern nation of Israel in 1957. It also identifies Russia (and her allies in 1000 AD) as Judah.

• Gog/Magog is another name the Bible uses for Judah. Seen in two places: In Revelation after 1000 years of Christianity and in Ezekiel as the leader of an invasion on modern Israel. Will replay the day-for-a-year prophetic story of the Judah led massacre of ancient Benjamin. (See Benjamin below.)

• Ezekiel's broken stick Judah is the name of one of the halves of Ezekiel's broken stick. The tribes associated with him must be reunited with Ephraim's stick (see above) before Jesus can return.

• Day-for-a-year Dates Russia hits more dates on the day-for-a-year timeline than any other. Her place in Bible history is quite strong. This is why.

• Scepter not depart Since Jesus was from the tribe of Judah, through David, any false Christ must also be from this tribe. Eventual ruler of a unified world government will also likely be from Judah, modern Russia.

• National Conversion to Judaism The only nation ever to convert to Judaism was part of modern Russia. It lasted until Christianization.

• Tsar short for Caesar Calling herself the third Rome, this is the last nation to claim a link to ancient Roman world. Follows a Jewish tradition related to Rome...
